ClassGraphic The basics of microbiology will feature techniques to troubleshoot activated sludge, problems and control strategy. All participants will be introduced to the microscope features and benefits, the microscope selection process, and cost factors will also be discussed. Time will be spent to familiarize the participants to the proper use and care of a microscope. The course includes an overview of microscopic evaluations, sampling, flocculation, filaments, toxicity, overall health, slide preparation, maintenance, staining techniques, and sample examination. The course will also cover organism identification and the effects of the presence, absence, mobility, and organism type on water and wastewater process control.
