A bookkeeper records the day-to-day financial transactions of an organization.  The bookkeeper is responsible for ensuring all transactions are recorded in the appropriate journals, ledgers and for bringing the books to the trial balance stage. An accountant prepares the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flow using the trial balance and ledgers prepared by the bookkeeper.
