This 7-hour course is designed for Community Health Workers seeking continuing education credits or looking to expand their professional impact in supporting mothers, infants, and families. Participants will build knowledge of maternal and child health (MCH) across the continuum—from pregnancy and labor to postpartum recovery and newborn care. The course emphasizes the connection between health equity and MCH, while strengthening CHW skills in outreach, education, and trauma-informed support. You’ll leave with practical tools and strategies to raise community awareness, provide resources, and help families navigate key health services, developmental milestones, and infant safety from pregnancy through early childhood.
