Making music with others is one of the most rewarding ways to learn an instrument. In this beginning group violin course, you will develop foundational skills in music reading, rhythm, note identification, and melody performance. Learn proper posture, violin and bow hold, and beginning bowing techniques while participating in a supportive ensemble environment. Students with previous experience will receive differentiated instruction through more advanced ensemble opportunities. Students must provide a violin or viola and rosin; a shoulder rest is recommended.
