The course expands the student knowledge in the development of vehicle operation skills including basic control, vehicle maintenance, operating practices, and handling of cargo. Students will demonstrate their competency in skills such as control forward maneuvers, shifting, and backing. Vehicle maintenance will introduce vehicle systems, preventive maintenance, diagnosing problems, and reporting malfunctions. Skills are taught in the classroom, on a simulator, on a closed range and on open roads.
