Join instructor Debbie Gilligan from the GEaRS (Global Education and Research Services) team in Creative Thinking & Team Building through Improvisation!

Improvisation is more than just making things up — it's one of the most powerful tools for developing creative thinking, communication, and real teamwork. In this class, students work in partners and small groups to create and perform original scenes on the spot, build tableaux (frozen scenes that tell a story without a single word), use props in inventive and unexpected ways, and work through collaborative challenges that demand quick thinking and genuine cooperation. There are no long scripts — just the group, the moment, and the ideas that emerge when you engage! Every exercise is designed to stretch the imagination, build confidence in front of an audience, and strengthen the skills that make teams work — listening, flexibility, spontaneity, and trust. Whether you're a natural performer or stepping into the spotlight for the very first time, this class creates a supportive, high-energy space where every idea is worth exploring.

Please note: To ensure the best learning experience, activities may be modified depending on student needs, resources, or instructional planning.
