Vegetable Garden Planning

Want to grow some of your own food but don't know where to start? Join the University of Maryland Extension (UME) Master Gardeners of Charles County Grow It Eat It Education Project and learn how to plan, prepare, plant, and maintain a vegetable garden—even in limited space or containers. Topics include locating the garden, testing and preparing soil, selecting crops, and watering considerations. Designed for beginner and experienced gardeners alike, the workshop covers the basics and offers tips for optimizing harvests. Hands-on demonstrations and question-and-answer sessions will be featured.
