American Sign Language Part III is a continuation course and is designed to review and build upon the grammar and conversation skills learned in Part I and Part II. Emphasis will be placed on understanding and acquiring conversational proficiency in ASL using an immersion approach. Special focus will be on increasing sign clarity and non-manual behavior. Social, cultural, linguistic, political, and economic patterns affecting deaf people in the U.S. will also be covered. By the end of part III, you will be able to comprehend and respond with increasing accuracy. American Sign Language I and II are required in order to take part III. Textbook required and will be used for all three ASL classes - "Master ASL! Level I."
