So, you have decided that you want to learn Japanese - excellent! In our Basic Japanese class, there is no competition, no pressure, and it leaves room to have fun with learning the language and finding out about Japanese culture. You will have the opportunity to learn the Japanese language in an immersion-type setting. You will learn how to read and write Hiragana and Katakana symbols, the building blocks for Japanese writing, as well as develop basic communication skills. After mastering key phrases and vocabulary, learn how to conjugate verbs and create the kinds of sentences necessary for daily conversations such as ordering food, making purchases, asking directions, etc. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to learn about key aspects of Japanese culture including traditions in fashion, holidays, food, and more!
