Introduction to Logic: Philosophical Reasoning and Critical Thinking

In this class you’ll be introduced to core philosophical principles of reasoning and valid inference. This course focuses on how philosophers analyze arguments and evaluate claims. Topics include induction and deduction, analyzing statements and arguments, assessing classifications, hypotheses, and analogies, and evaluating definitions, meaning, content, and ambiguity. You’ll develop skills that help you think more clearly, reason more carefully, and engage more thoughtfully with ideas in everyday life.
Continuing education students will take this course alongside credit students enrolled in PHL-1020.
