In this exciting introductory business course, students ages 11–14 will discover what it takes to think and act like an entrepreneur by exploring the fundamentals of starting and managing a small business. Through hands-on activities, creative challenges, and real-world examples, students will learn how to identify business opportunities, develop innovative ideas, create simple business plans, understand budgeting and profit, and practice marketing and customer service skills. Students will also explore the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, including leadership, problem-solving, communication, and perseverance. By designing and pitching their own small business concepts, students will gain confidence, creativity, and a foundational understanding of entrepreneurship and the important role small businesses play in our communities and economy.
