The National Electric Code is a regionally adopted standard for the safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment in the United States. If you work with electricity, you need to extend your knowledge of this code and some of the recent changes that have been introduced. In this course, students will review the most widely used sections of the NEC and discover how to apply them in situations that are encountered on the job. Emphasis will be placed on sections of the code that have undergone recent revisions. This 10-hour class will also satisfy the requirement for 10 hours of electrical continuing education for those counties that are requiring it for license renewal. Students will be expected to bring a current copy of the NEC to class. NOTE: TEC-9840 NEC Code Refresher course is not accepted in Virginia. Please check with your local licensing jurisdictions for acceptable continuing education before you take this course.
