The Community Health Worker Certification Course provides prospective workers with the essential knowledge, skills, and resources needed to serve as a bridge between health services, social support, and the community. Participants learn to promote equitable access to resources, address diverse health needs, and provide outreach, education, informal counseling, and advocacy.
This certificate has required hours that meet in person as well as asynchronous/online. In person and online requirements are both mandatory.
To achieve this workforce training certificate, complete the following courses:
> HTH-5000 INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE
> HTH-5200 COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER I
> HTH-5210 COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER II
> HTH-5220 COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER PRACTICUM
