Join instructor Juliana La Plant from the GEaRS (Global Education and Research Services) team in this engaging early literacy course, designed to support and enrich your child's reading journey through interactive stories, games, and hands-on activities. Students will strengthen foundational literacy skills, including recognizing sight words, practicing letter sounds, and developing early phonics strategies. Shared story time and guided discussions will help children build stronger reading comprehension by identifying characters, settings, and the sequence of events in a story. Each class will also include handwriting and simple sentence-writing practice to reinforce proper letter formation and early writing confidence. Designed to complement homeschool language arts instruction, this course provides a supportive and social learning environment where young readers can deepen their skills, build confidence, and grow their love of books.
Please note: To ensure the best learning experience, activities may be modified depending on student needs, resources, or instructional planning.
