Join instructor Taylor McNulty from the GEaRS (Global Education and Research Services) team to get ready to think, wonder, and experiment! In this hands-on science class, young learners will step into the role of real scientists as they explore exciting experiments and discover how the world works.
Over 10 fun-filled weeks, students will be introduced to the scientific method in a playful, simple, and easy-to-understand way. Each week, children will ask questions, formulate hypotheses (predictions), and test their ideas through engaging, age-appropriate experiments.
Through guided activities, students will learn how to:
- Ask scientific questions
- Make and test hypotheses
- Understand basic variables (what we change and what we observe)
- Collect and record data
- Create simple graphs and visuals
- Share and "report" their discoveries
From fizzy reactions to colorful creations, every class is designed to spark curiosity and build confidence in thinking like a scientist. Along the way, students will develop early critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills—all while having a blast!
Perfect for curious minds who love to explore, experiment, and ask "why!"
Please note: To ensure the best learning experience, activities may be modified depending on student needs, resources, or instructional planning.
