« back to classes page

This dynamic and interdisciplinary course takes students on an exciting journey into the world of technology, engineering, and innovation by exploring three fascinating areas: robotics, GPS technology, and compound machines. Through hands-on experiments, creative design challenges, and interactive learning experiences, students will discover how these technologies work together to solve real-world problems and shape our modern world.

Students will investigate the fundamentals of robotics, including sensors, movement, and basic programming concepts; explore how Global Positioning System (GPS) technology enables navigation and location tracking; and examine how compound machines combine simple machines to make work easier and more efficient. By designing, building, and testing their own projects, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while gaining an appreciation for the engineering principles behind everyday technologies.

This course is ideal for curious learners who enjoy building, experimenting, and discovering how innovation transforms the world around them. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to explore, create, and think like an engineer.
