Fall Vegetable Gardening

Join the University of Maryland Extension (UME) Charles County Master Gardeners Grow It Eat It Education project to discuss what to do in the fall to select, care for, and harvest cool weather vegetable crops, extend the gardening season for summer crops, dry summer herbs, and perform other autumn gardening activities. Master Gardeners will provide resources and answer questions on what happened, good or bad, in your summer vegetable gardens and discuss what to do now to make for a better garden next spring. In view of UME’s celebrating 2026 as The Year of Container Gardening, information on caring for container grown crops in the fall will also be provided. Bring your questions and ideas!
