In Japan, they practice something called forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku. Shinrin in Japanese means forest, and yoku means bath. So shinrin-yoku means bathing in the forest atmosphere, or taking in nature through our senses. Simply put - forest bathing is retreating to nature to slow down and become immersed in the natural environment. Benefits may include stress reduction, mood enhancement, increased energy and better sleep, decreased inflammation, lower blood pressure, and even decreased risk of heart attack. Take the time to unwind and connect with nature to improve your health. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes as this class will be held outside.
