Students develop the skills required for entry-level technical positions in the field of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC). They learn to assist the HVAC mechanic - install, service, and repair heating and air conditioning systems in residences. Customer service techniques that address competition and building a loyal clientele are introduced. Students completing this program will be eligible for employment with companies that install, service, and repair heating and air conditioning systems. A worker can take the state exams to be licensed as a journey- person or master HVAC mechanic after meeting experience requirements.
