ClassGraphic Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) are highly distributed control systems used for geographically dispersed stations or assets, normally scattered over large areas. This course is designed to show the participants how SCADA systems can be used to get the best performance out of water and sewer systems at the least cost. It will cover the components of a SCADA system and show how they function and relate back to a treatment plant. At the end of this course, operators, technicians, mechanics and engineers will have a working overview of SCADA, its importance, architecture, advantages and disadvantages, terminology and the overall process control and connectivity.
