Are you looking for a career in healthcare? Obtain the tools to develop the personal, professional, and workplace skills necessary to succeed in today's healthcare industry. Learn the healthcare system, its structure, laws, ethics, economics, and patient care skills. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice hands-on patient care skills in our health education laboratories which will include CDC guidelines for personal protective equipment (PPE) and infection control. The course ends with an overview of the most in-demand healthcare career fields. Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent by the first day of class. Important note: Content is presented in the classroom, health laboratory, and online settings. You will be required to meet in the classroom on the days shown and work in the online classroom for additional hours. Textbook required.
