The Certified Medicine Aide (CMA) program equips CNAs that have been employed by a long-term care facility for at least one-year. Upon successful completion, CMAs play a crucial role in enhancing patient care, collaborating closely with healthcare teams, and upholding the highest standards of medication management.
To achieve this workforce training certificate, complete the following courses:
> HTH-5470 CERTIFIED MEDICINE AIDE FUNDAMENTALS
> HTH-5490 CERTIFIED MEDICINE AIDE PRACTICE
Prior to registration, students are required to complete the Work Keys Assessment and achieve a minimum score of 4-4-4.
CNA/GNAs looking to further expand their expertise might consider pursuing a Patient Care Technician certificate as a valuable opportunity to broaden their skill set.
