The American Heart Association (AHA) programs are the basis for the College of Southern Maryland’s first aid and CPR training. Its nationally recognized programs maintain the highest standards of emergency health and safety training. College of Southern Maryland is listed by the AHA as a training center.

CPR – or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest.
