ClassGraphic Wastewater operators can obtain better process control through microscopic examination of mixed liquors and other waste streams. Participants will be introduced to the basics including microscope features and benefits, the microscope selection process, and cost factors. Topics covered include an overview of sampling, slide preparation, maintenance, staining techniques, and actual sample examination. Finally, organism identification and the effects of presence, absence, mobility, and number of various organisms on wastewater process control will be discussed in depth.
