Phlebotomy Technicians work in hospitals, clinics, and patient service centers, specializing in blood collection and specimen handling. With additional training, they may advance to roles such as Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist, performing specimen preparation, operating analyzers, and conducting manual tests.

Prerequisite: students must take and pass HTH-5000, Introduction into Healthcare.

To earn this workforce training certificate, complete the following courses:
> HTH-5000 INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE
> HTH-7100 PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN TRAINING
> HTH-7120 PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN PRACTICUM

Notice: COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for clinical placement per CSM's clinical partners.
All Nursing and Health program students must be fully vaccinated to secure a clinical assignment. This vaccination requirement is crucial for student safety and to uphold healthcare standards.
