THIS PROGRAM IS COMING SOON.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide essential patient care, including feeding, dressing, grooming, and assisting with mobility, under nursing staff supervision.

For certification eligibility, students must complete designated courses:
> HTH-6260 NURSING ASSISTANT FUNDAMENTALS
> HTH-6280 NURSING ASSISTANT PRACTICE

Successful completion qualifies you to take the Maryland Nurse Aide Competency Exam, which consists of a written (or oral) exam and a skills evaluation. Passing both parts of the exam allows you to apply for certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant 1 (CNA1) through the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Notice: COVID-19 and Flu vaccination may be required for clinical placement by CSM's clinical partners. Other vaccines (Varicella, MMR, TDaP, HepB, etc.) are mandatory. Nursing and Health program students who do not meet clinical site requirements will be unable to attend clinicals and must withdraw from the program.

PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING FOR CNA
  1. Students must be at least 18 years of age at time of registration.
  2. Prior to registration, students are required to complete the Work Keys Assessment with a minimum score of 4-4-4.
