Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide essential patient care, including feeding, dressing, grooming, and assisting with mobility, under nursing staff supervision

Successful completion qualifies you to apply for CNA certification with the Maryland Board of Nursing. GNA Certification requires passing the NNAAP Maryland Nurse Aide Exam, as sanctioned by the Board.

Notice: COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for clinical placement per CSM's clinical partners. All Nursing and Health program students must be fully vaccinated to secure a clinical assignment. Those opting out will need to withdraw from the program.
PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING FOR CNA/GNA
- Students must be at least 18 years of age at time of registration.
- Prior to registration, students are required to complete the Work Keys Assessment with a minimum score of 4-4-4.
- To ensure clinical safety, students must undergo background checks and health screenings through a leading compliance firm. Details will be provided on the first day of class.
- The first day of class is a MANDATORY orientation. This program has a 100% attendance requirement.
- Students should budget an extra $200-$300 for uniforms and Maryland Board of Nursing requirements.
- Regulations require students to register for HTH-6270 and the HTH-6290 together.
