Join instructor Sarah Cifredo from the GEaRS (Global Education and Research Services) team in Sew Smart!
In this hands-on class, students learn practical sewing and repair skills while creating fun, simple craft projects. They'll practice threading needles, sewing buttons, and fixing small tears, gaining confidence in caring for their own belongings in an age-appropriate, engaging way. Students will also explore eco-friendly creativity through upcycling and "toy repair" challenges; restoring items like tangled doll hair, marked-up toys, and worn books. Each class blends crafting and real-world problem-solving to build responsibility, creativity, and pride in fixing rather than replacing.
Please note: To ensure the best learning experience, activities may be modified depending on student needs, resources, or instructional planning.
